White Rose is an education company that our surrounding feeder schools use and adapt.

By using this, we can directly see what the students have been learning throughout their KS2 journey.

When we start to look at teaching topics, we can look at what these students will have seen within KS2 and use our starter tasks to recap those basic skills, to then build upon these within the lesson, showing the link, but then extending on their knowledge and understanding.

We can also then focus on the application of these aspects, when we already know students have some ground work of the topics already set in their minds.

Although White Rose shows a great depth and follows a great revisit set up, we have adapted our scheme to make sure all students can access the curriculum. Adjusting assessments and topics, has allowed us to gain more from the asssessment process and focus on students positives.
